Andrea Tacchi

Guitar maker from Florence

Andrea Tacchi, born in Florence, is one of Italy's most respected guitar makers. His passion for instrument making developed at a young age, inspired by the rich musical tradition of his hometown. In the 1970s, he began to devote himself intensively to guitar making and acquired solid craftsmanship skills.

His pursuit of perfection led him to learn from some of the greatest guitar makers of the 20th century. His encounter with the French masters Robert Bouchet and Daniel Friederich, whose construction methods had a strong influence on him, was particularly formative. Tacchi studied their techniques, analyzed their instruments and gradually refined his own style. The Spanish guitar-making tradition, especially the work of Antonio de Torres, also had a great influence on his instruments.

Over the course of his career, he perfected his construction method and developed instruments that are valued for their exceptional sonority, balance and precision. Tacchi's guitars are characterized by masterful craftsmanship, excellent projection and fine tonal nuances. He experimented with different types of wood and construction methods to achieve the ideal sound and create a perfect balance between tradition and innovation.
